Independent You is resourceful and I admire that. The caregivers that they have are exceptionally good people. It has almost been three years since we started services. The caregivers have been there 24-7 and they have not skipped a beat. They give a whole new meaning to what it is to be a caregiver. I like the fact that it has been the same caregivers consistently for the last two to three years. They know him well including his mood swings and they do bounce back.
The caregiver is very kind and good to my family. I work and have a family, so the caregivers going in do what is needed and take the pressure off me. They do everything; take her to meetings, organize the house, they help get groceries, etc. The agency is very responsive to our calls and the caregiver is very friendly, talks to the client and spends time with her.
Independent You tackled the tough job of helping us keep our mother at home in a capable, compassionate, and caring way. My mother has always had the best care and they are very good at following up with her. The caregiver has been here for over a year and we have had no problems with her. My mother loves her. She takes my mother for a walk twice a day and takes her out to lunch every day. If I ask the caregiver to take her to the mall or anything else that I ask her to do she, does it. She is soft-spoken to my mother, loving, and they are a perfect match.
I want to say thank you again. I don’t know how we would have gotten through these past few years without all your wonderful support. All of the caregivers and drivers have been so great and became friends with both of us. That is not something I hear from others who use different agencies. If you need anyone to sing your praises let me know.
They provided good people to stay with my husband consistently. They've always taken good care of the client when I had to go somewhere. They looked after him very well and took really good care of him, they kept watch over the home. They've always been able to provide a caregiver and they do call back to confirm the appointments and dates. They followed all the instructions and were really nice to Rob, personally.
We love the caregiver. She brings so much joy and is loyal. Having a caregiver, we can get some rest, and my dad looks forward to seeing her. When things seem really tough, the caregiver comes in with a light about her that makes it feel like everything is going to be okay. I like that the agency has a loving personality.

After witnessing a near lifetime of her struggling to maintain relationships with family, social workers, and caregivers; you have no idea what your commitment meant to me, and also that she smiled and laughed when she saw you, looked forward to your visits and felt she could count on you.
I wanted to thank you for everything the Independent You team did to make my aunt more comfortable and as independent as possible until the end. The team was exceptional and we couldn’t have managed my aunt’s affairs and the complexities of her condition without them. Diana’s conscientiousness and care with my aunt was particularly notable. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Independent You for the superlative care you provided for Mom over the past few years. We started out with just a couple of afternoons of companionship, with Mom insisting that she "didn’t need anyone" and then not wanting the caregiver to leave at the end of her shift. Over the next few years, we moved to full-time daytime care and then to round-the-clock care as Mom aged. We also stepped up from companionship to light nursing care. When Mom needed hospice services in the last few weeks of her life, Independent You’s nurses and caregivers worked seamlessly with Capital Caring to ensure that Mom was comfortable and well cared for at home, as she wanted. I couldn’t have asked for more, and in fact Independent You always went above and beyond. We felt that we were part of the IY family. IY’s caregivers weathered power outages with Mom, doctors’ appointments and much more. They shared stories, took her to church and to concerts, and just out and about. Mom’s quality of life was very good, largely due to IY. She was close to 97 when she passed away, peacefully at home, as she wanted.
Joanne and GMC services were wonderful to work with. All the staff was always responsive to our concerns. They made it possible for my mother to stay in her home and age in place for a longtime. My mother loved being able to be so independent for so long! You and your staff are very special people. You certainly help make this world a better place.
